Summer Bishil, an American actress, is best known for portraying Margo Hanson on the Syfy the fantasy show The Magicians. The actress was previously recognized by playing the 13-year-old American Lebanese girl Jasira Maroun, who is undergoing tumultuous personal experiences in the context of the U.S. invasion of Iraq during the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. In the following year she was voted one of Variety's Top Ten Actors to See. She portrayed another highly-rated character Taslima Jahangir in 2009's crime drama film Crossing Over for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in the Best Female Lead category. She has also acted in movies like Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star and Under the Silver Lake and has played several guest roles in television, including co-lead role in Lucky 7.
